Alex brings a wealth of expertise within the Construction and Real Estate Insurance sector with particular focus on Owner-controlled Insurance Programmes/Project-Specific Contract Works, Property Portfolios, Legal Indemnities, Latent Defects Insurance and Professional Risks.

Alex has a leading reputation within the industry, actively promoting awareness of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) within the insurance sector and advocating accreditation of BOPAS (BuildOffsite Property Assurance Scheme). This has given Alex the ability to work alongside Lloyds Register, RICS and Build Offsite, to promote a greater understanding of offsite and modular manufactured construction.

With over 25 years of experience working in construction insurance, Alex’s career has progressed from Property & Casualty Underwriter for Norwich Union (now Aviva), to National and Regional broking practices, placing large scale insurance programmes and advising on risk management. Alex has since been involved with the insurance placement on property portfolios for Investment Funds, Property Managers, BTR Developers, Consortiums, Local Authorities, NHS Foundation Trusts and Universities, along with specialising in high-value schemes.
